Code of Ethics and Internal Whistleblowing Channels
Flatlantic - Actividades Piscícolas, S.A. invariably guides its conduct by the strictest ethical principles, anchoring its activity on the pillars of integrity, probity, and transparency.
Notwithstanding the implementation of robust prevention mechanisms and a cross-cutting commitment to compliance policies — which are subject to permanent review and update — it is recognized that no organization is immune to the risk of illicit acts. Such conduct, if not promptly identified and mitigated, is liable to seriously compromise the integrity of the institution and its stakeholders, as well as prejudice the public interest.
This premise is particularly pressing regarding behaviours that undermine environmental preservation, public health and safety, or consumer rights. It further extends to acts that jeopardize privacy, the security of information systems, the proper management of public funds, or those involving money laundering and organised crime.
Employees and other stakeholders who maintain professional relations with the Group’s entities often occupy a privileged position in the early detection of eventual non-conformities or substantiated suspicions of infringement. In this light, it is imperative that these agents feel duly encouraged to report such facts, benefiting from the absolute guarantee of protection against any form of retaliation.
In strict compliance with the provisions of Law No. 93/2021, of 20 December, Flatlantic - Actividades Piscícolas, S.A. has established Internal Whistleblowing Channels. All those who, within the scope of their professional activity with the Group's companies, have knowledge of irregularities are therefore urged to activate these mechanisms, allowing for the identification of situations that would otherwise remain outside institutional scrutiny.
The aforementioned entities assume a solemn commitment to ensure the strict confidentiality of the whistleblower's identity, providing the necessary safeguards against any and all acts of retaliation. All submitted communications will be subject to a rigorous and diligent investigation, aiming for the immediate cessation of any irregularities that may be established and the respective accountability.
